Filippo Manetti
In 1998 Filippo Manetti purchased a small medieval village called Campiume, located in Fognano di Brisighella on the first spurs of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines. The complex is completely surrounded by vineyards and olive trees and produces around 10 thousand bottles every year from 2.5ha of grapes.
Passion, is the word that perfectly describes his work in the vineyard and cellar. In fact, Filippo follows every single phase of production from winter pruning of the vines, to winemaking and finally to bottling. His approach maintains full respect for tradition and is oriented by a very limited use of technology both in the vineyard and in the cellar. He practices organic agriculture, harvests by hand, allows spontaneous fermentation, uses minimal sulfur, and the wines are not fined or filtered.
The wines are alive and vivacious, and once in the glass are transformed hour by hour. They reflect the territory and the vintage during which they were produced.
